How did you come to the decision to try out Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We buy, process, and sell frozen skipjack and tuna out of Yaizu Port. There are a lot of processes in seafood processing which have to be done standing, so we were looking for some way to ease the burden on our workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just happened to hear about Archelis on the radio, and decided to try it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What kind of work do you use Archelis for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When processing tuna loins, the floor is constantly wet and littered with fish residue. It\u2019s a very slippery environment, but we did not experience any slippage with Archelis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the inspection is done all in one place, it was very easy to use the Archelis. In addition, the new Archelis FX stick is easier to move than the previous model. Thanks to this, even in \u201cpacking,\u201d which requires a lot of fine movement, it was well received as very easy to work with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are your expectations of Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Above anything else, we expect Archelis to reduce employee fatigue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skipjack is a highly seasonal product, so we are extremely between March and June. If someone needs to take time off work due to fatigue, it makes our already busy workplace even busier as other workers take on the load. This can turn into a vicious cycle of ever increasing fatigue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019d be happy if Archelis could take some of that burden off the workers. Lately there has been a lot of discussion regarding SDGs and creating healthier working environments. I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if Archelis spreads rapidly throughout the industry in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do you use Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I use it in the loin processing section. You stand in front of the machine for a long time while handling frozen fish, it\u2019s very physically demanding work.

How do you feel using Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Without a doubt, I feel that the strain on my legs and back is reduced. Once I got used to wearing it, it was no problem and took no time at all to put on or take off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bLoin processing is hard on the feet and back because it requires standing and using the upper body to do the work. Some people become fatigued and hurt their backs. I hope those people will be able to work without health concerns by using Archelis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What other processes do you think Archelis would be suited for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I think there are lots of places in the factory where Archelis would be useful, like when gutting the fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it would be good for younger workers to use it as early as possible to try and prevent the onset of back pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do you use Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I use Archelis for inspection and packaging. Inspection is a process that forces the worker to stay in one place in the same posture, so Archelis was a perfect fit. Packing, on the other hand, involves a lot of movement, such as moving boxes and products. However, the new stick model is easier to move and I was able to use it effectively in the packing process.

Do you feel the effects of Archelis in reducing fatigue?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I do. I have weak knees, so I am thankful that Archelis has reduced the burden on my knees and made my work much easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bWhen the pain in my knees got worse, I used to go to the hospital for painkiller injections. However, thanks to Archelis, I have been getting fewer injections recently. I notice that I feel much less tired when I go home and walk up and down the stairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
