How did you find out about Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In cardiac catheterization, we wear lead protectors for radiation protection. An operation usually lasts around two or three hours, during which time we are constantly on our feet. The weight of the protector puts significant strain on the body, and I came to suffer from back pain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To add to this, I developed a lumbar hernia when I was young, and have undergone two surgeries to try and combat it. This has only exacerbated the pain I feel from performing surgery. I\u2019ve been searching for 20 years for some kind of solution to my problem. I finally found Archelis.

What were the deciding factors in choosing Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, the simple fact that it reduces the burden on the legs and back during operations. It can also be used without any change to the layout of the operating theatre, and is very simple to put on. Also, during catheterization the surgeon must operate a pedal frequently, and the Archelis doesn\u2019t hinder that sort of movement at all. I also like that the angle you get when sitting using Archelis is just right for the procedure.

How often do you use Archelis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We perform three or four catheterizations a week, and always make use of Archelis if the procedure will take longer than a few hours. If I have to do multiple surgeries in one day, even if they\u2019re short, I use Archelis to help reduce the burden on my body.

The best part for me is that I don\u2019t feel as tired the next day after I use Archelis. Before, I would power through operations and feel alright, but as soon as I got home the fatigue would hit. The fact that Archelis can almost eliminate that fatigue has made it an essential part of my life.
